Man Utd talks revelation
Manchester United have held talks with an agent regarding their transfer plans going forward, journalist Andy Mitten has revealed.
“I know an agent who met Man City and Man United on the same day,” Mitten told the Beyond the Pitch podcast.
“He’s got good players this lad. He said City were very specific about what they wanted in each position for the next year and two years.
“And he went to United and it was all about names.
“It was all: ‘if we have five Galatico-style players, that’s how you win the European Cup’.”

Chelsea will be looking into options as they prepare to replace misfiring striker Alvaro Morata, according to Jamie Carragher.
“I can see he has great ability but he also strikes me as an opponent whom a good defender can dominate,” Carragher told The Telegraph.
“You can sense his belief slipping with every lost confrontation, and when he starts hitting the deck in challenges well away from the penalty area, then you really know his appetite is slipping.
“The reality is I do not think that Morata will ever click at Chelsea, and I am sure the club think that too. They have to be looking now for a new option next season.”

Liverpool chase on
Liverpool have reportedly intensified their interest in Toulouse prospect Jean-Clair Todibo following Joe Gomez’s injury blow.
Gomez is facing more than a month on the sidelines after fracturing his ankle and Jurgen Klopp will be in no mood to rush him back.
And the England international’s injury might mean Liverpool splash the cash to bolster their defence in the January transfer window.
Tuttosport indicate Todibo is in the Reds’ sights, with Manchester United and Juventus also sniffing around the 18-year-old.

Arsenal in £20m pursuit
Arsenal could reportedly scrap it out with Manchester United for Galatasaray ace Ozan Kabak.
Both Premier League giants are said to have jetted in personnel to make checks on the highly-rated 18-year-old.
And Galatasaray are facing a fight to keep hold of him with Roma and Inter Milan joining Arsenal and United in tracking him.
The Sun have claimed Galatasaray would strike a deal for Kabak for £20m, although elsewhere it is claimed he has a bargain £7m release clause for clubs outside of Turkey.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho will play Paul Pogba for as long as he is at Old Trafford, it has been claimed.
Pogba has failed to hit the heights expected of him since returning to the Premier League in the summer of 2016.
And his poor performances have been one of the contributing factors in putting pressure on Mourinho.
The Manchester Evening News claim Mourinho will stick with Pogba for as long as he is manager though.
And that might mean Pogba is kept at United, despite Barcelona and Juventus wanting to snap him up.

Lukaku to Chelsea?
Chelsea have been made the bookmaker’s favourites to snap up Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United.
Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: ”[Maurizio] Sarri has made no secret of his desire to sign a striker and with Lukaku appearing to be beginning to engineer a move away it could well be a perfect match. We’ve slashed the odds on it happening this January.
“It may seem unlikely that United would sell to Chelsea at such a time in the season but we’ve seen the clubs do business before in this window, back when Juan Mata moved north from London, so you cannot rule it out.”
Chelsea’s are now in from 10/1 to 4/1 to get Lukaku on board, with Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Roma at 5/1, 8/1 and 10/1 respectively.
Transfer news LIVE: Arsene Wenger has been questioned seven months after leaving Arsenal (Image: GETTY)
Arsene Wenger may have left Arsenal back in May but that has not stopped Sead Kolasinac from taking aim at the departed manager.
“When you don’t lose a game for that long, the belief is there for everyone,” Kolisanic said, before highlighting the difference between Wenger’s and Unai Emery’s respective Arsenal sides.
“Last season we didn’t have a run like this, but when you’re 20 unbeaten you have lots of confidence and belief and sometimes things take care of themselves.
“We’re stronger in what we’re doing this year probably.”
