Man Utd defeated Fulham in the Premier League fixture this afternoon after goals from Ashley Young, Juan Mata, Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford.
Manchester United were back in action this afternoon as they won 4-1 against Fulham to Old Trafford.
United started well after an incredible strike by today’s captain Ashley Young. Juan Mata added a second goal as he finished off a clever counter-attack by calmly slotting the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
Romelu Lukaku added a third goal shortly before half-time as he tapped in Mata’s clever cross from close range. Fulham got a goal back from the penalty spot midway through the second-half after Ander Herrera gave away a penalty which was dispatched by Aboubakar Kamara.
Fulham were pushing for a way back into the game but were handed a huge setback after André-Frank Anguissa was sent off. Marcus Rashford added a fourth late on as he smashed an excellent effort in at the near post.

Rashford – OFF

What a hit from Rashford to get United’s fourth of the afternoon. Hits it from the corner of the 18 yard box with his left foot and it beats Rico at his near post.
Rashford with a great move, did the hard work by beating two defenders but is let down by his finishing. His shot is straight at Rico.
Another brilliant ball by Dalot, Lukaku should have scored. Somehow he doesn’t get on the end of it. Should have had a fourth.
Martial watching from his box
Injury has prevented him from being involved today.
20 minutes for Fred to prove a point
He’s got the perfect opportunity.
Change for United
Lingard – OFF
Fred – ON
It’s time for Fred
It’s only taken the team bottom in the league to go down to 10 but he’s getting his chance.
Fulham are down to 10. Anguissa has been shown a second yellow for a challenge on Rashford and the visitors are down to 10.
Kamara scores from the spot.
Big chance for Fulham here.
More goals in this
Unsurprisingly, Fulham have come out fighting after the break and it would not have taken much improvement to better that awful first-half display.
United are not looking as fluid as they were just half an hour ago and the intensity levels have dropped a little.
But every time they string a team move together, something they have managed to do on a number of occasions today, Fulham look vulnerable.
There’s definitely more goals in this.
Dalot with another brilliant ball in to the box which whistles across the face of goal and Lingard just couldn’t get his foot on the end of it.
Finally a chance for Fulham, nice build up play from the away side and Schurrle’s tries to get his shot in in the corner of the far post but it’s just wide.
Should have been four.
Change for United
It’s Smalling who has made way for Rojo.
He’s gone straight down the tunnel for treatment.
United about to make a change
Jones just went down after a challenge a couple of minutes ago but doesn’t look to be seriously injured.
Subs out warming up
Surely it’s time to give Fred and Pereira some minutes. Given what Mourinho said about why he wasn’t playing Fred this seems like the perfect opportunity to throw him on.
Rashford with a great run in to the box and his shot is parried away by Rico as far as Lukaku who is waiting on the edge area, his shot deflected away for a corner which is punched away by Rico.
Dalot then whips a ball in from the right straight in to the path of Lukaku who just can’t finish it.
Positive start to the second half by United.
Three goals in the first half has been a long time coming
The home fans have waited a long time.
Change for Fulham back underway

Great first half
That half could not have gone any better for United. Yes, Fulham have been poor but we have rarely seen United seize the initiative like this against similar opposition this season. Recent performances against Crystal Palace and Southampton tell you that. With Jose Mourinho urging them on, the players have grown in confidence with each pass and move, and have certainly built on that committed showing against Arsenal midweek. For one of the few times this season, it will be a bouncing dressing room at half-time.
